Six Chimneys & A Dream 5 S. Mayhew Turnpike Located at junction of Rte. 3A (Mayhew Tpke.) and North Shore Rd. in Hebron, NH (formerly East Hebron) just 5 miles south of the Plymouth traffic circle. We are conveniently located within minutes of Plymouth State University, Holderness School, and the Lakes and White Mountain regions of New Hampshire. The inn is a big green house with #5 S. on the mailbox, and a lovely new sign out front saying "Six Chimneys & A Dream." You can pull up into the long paved driveway to the right of the house. _________________________ From I-93: Take exit 26 in Plymouth. Follow Rte. 3A (Tenney Mtn. Highway, with shopping on either side if you need anything), through 4 traffic lights, until the traffic circle. Go ¾ of the way around the traffic circle, exiting South onto Rte. 3A toward Newfound Lake and Bristol. We are 5 mi. on the left, just after the junction with North Shore Rd. in Hebron. From I-91: Take I-91 north into Vermont. In Vermont, get off I-91 at the junction with I-89. Follow I-89 east into NH until exit 11 ( Rte. 11 towards Wilmot Flat.) Follow Rte. 11 to the junction with Rte. 4, then turn left onto Rt. 4 northwest, towards West Andover and Danbury. In Danbury at the intersection with Rte. 104, take a right onto 104 East, heading towards Bristol. In Bristol, at the traffic light, turn left heading north on Rte. 3A. From there, we are 15 minutes north on Rte. 3A. You will be passing the lake on the left intermittently ... keep an eye out for Camp Onaway, and then Camp Mowglis on the left. We are just a little ways beyond Camp Mowglis, on the right, just before the junction with North Shore Rd in Hebron. If you will be arriving after dark, we suggest you take I-91 to exit 15 in Fairlee, VT, follow the signs to Orford, NH and Rte. 25A. Follow 25A to Wentworth and merge right onto 25 South/East to Rumney and Plymouth. When you arrive at the Plymouth traffic circle, go 1/4 of the way around the traffic circle, exiting South onto Rte. 3A toward Newfound Lake and Bristol. We are 5 mi. on the left, just after the junction with North Shore Rd. in Hebron. This is much less complicated and easier to navigate in the country darkness than the aforementioned route. Trust us and those who've gotten lost in the dark! From points east: Take Rte. 25 W from Portland towards Gorham, west across the NH border. Stay on Rte. 25W until it intersects with Rte. 16N toward Ossipee. Follow 16N/25W to the traffic light in Ossipee, where Rte. 25W branches to the left. Follow 25W until into Center Harbor, and watch closely for the signs for 25B on the right. There are two traffic lights there, right in a row—at the 2nd one, turn right onto 25B (going up and around Senter’s Market, where Keepsake Quilting is located.) Follow 25B to the end, then turn right, back onto Rte. 25 toward Holderness. You will pass Squam Lake at various places (aka "Golden Pond".) After passing through the center of Holderness, make a right onto Rte. 175, and follow it past Holderness Prep School (on the left), where the road curves around to the left. At the intersection with I-93, take I-93N for one exit (stay in the right lane), and get off at exit 26, Tenney Mtn. Highway and Rte. 3A. Follow Tenney Mtn. Highway, passing through 4 traffic lights (shopping is on either side if you need anything) until the traffic circle. Go ¾ of the way around the traffic circle, exiting South onto Rte. 3A toward Newfound Lake and Bristol. We are 5 mi. on the left, just after the junction with North Shore Rd. in Hebron. |
